How do I find a PhD position after finishing my Master?

During the Master program you will get to know many different labs depending on the modules you choose. If you feel comfortable in one of the labs and if you leave a good impression, the group leader might offer you a PhD position in his/her lab. Moreover, there is the possibility to send an unsolicited application to a research group that interests you. In Bonn, there is a need for young scientists – this is one of the reasons why this program was introduced – hence, there will be enough positions available for absolvents of the Master Neurosciences program. Furthermore, a new international Graduate School was launched in October 2009 and offers PhD programs in Bonn. You can find their website here.
